Cast Comments
Shimada Bin (Gen)
“This is fantastic!! I really want as many people as possible to watch it. Each episode is just three minutes long, but they’re packed with engaging story. Sure, a granddaughter is supposed to be the apple of your eye — and she really is adorable — but watching this stubborn old grandpa struggle through childcare had me laughing and tearing up every single time!!”
Igarashi Hiromi (Haru)
“Haru is so full of energy, and no matter what happens she never lets anyone see her cry — which is both incredibly endearing and quietly heartbreaking. I’ll do my very best to bring out all of her charm. Recording has been a warm and lively experience, and I’m looking forward to the episodes I love most from the source material. It’s a heartwarming story of two people who have each lost someone precious, growing together step by step — please look forward to it!”
Kazama Mayuko (Sakura)
“Reading the original manga, I was deeply moved by the way these two clumsy people gradually lean on each other. During recording, I feel as though I’m witnessing the world through Sakura’s eyes — seeing everything she wished she could have seen. I hope everyone will cheer Gen on as he embarks on his very first adventure in parenting!”
