Fans of the beloved picture-book series Pan Dorobou (パンどろぼう) have something delicious to look forward to: the franchise is teaming up with iconic ramen chain Ippudo (一風堂) for a limited-time collaboration running from 1 to 23 November 2026.
Why Ramen? The Story Behind the Collab
Pan Dorobou, written and illustrated by Keiko Shibata and published by KADOKAWA, has sold over 6.2 million copies across its series, charming readers with its quirky characters and humour-filled stories. The timing is no coincidence: the latest instalment, Pan Dorobou to Sasurai Ramen, released in September 2026, features ramen as a key story element, and a TV anime adaptation began airing in October 2026. Ippudo, meanwhile, is marking its 41st anniversary — making this a celebration on two fronts.
The Limited Menu: Ramen Burger & Tonkotsu Ramen Set
The centrepiece of the collaboration is the Ramen Burger & Tonkotsu Ramen Set, priced at ¥1,480 (tax included). The burger features buns made using Ippudo’s proprietary “Kaze” ramen flour blend, filled with a special teriyaki chashu pork patty, teriyaki sauce, mayonnaise, and pickled red ginger for a punchy finish. It comes paired with a classic Ippudo tonkotsu ramen.
Free Puffy Stickers with Every Order
Each set ordered comes with one free Pan Dorobou puffy sticker (ぷくぷくシール). There are two designs in total, distributed on a schedule:
- Design 1: 1–7 November 2026
- Design 2: 8–14 November 2026
- Final period (15–23 November): Either design, given at random
Stickers are available in limited quantities and cannot be chosen by the customer. Distribution ends when stocks run out.
Collaboration Merchandise
Two exclusive merchandise sets will also be on sale:
- Waku Waku Cooking Set — A Pan Dorobou-themed apron and bandana set, available in adult and children’s sizes, each priced at ¥2,980 (tax included). Perfect for parent-and-child cooking sessions at home.
- My Ramen Set — Includes a ramen bowl, chopsticks, and chopstick rest, priced at ¥2,980 (tax included).
All merchandise is sold exclusively at in-store registers and is not available for takeout orders. Customers must dine in to be eligible for purchase. Stocks are limited.
Participating Locations
The collaboration runs at all domestic Ippudo locations in Japan, including Ippudo, IPPUDO RAMEN EXPRESS, RAMEN EXPRESS Hakata Ippudo, and Ippudo KAY branches, from 1 to 23 November 2026.
