As the second collaboration between TV anime Mahou no Shimai Lulut Lily — part of Pierrot’s long-running magical-girl franchise — and Sabagebu!, the survival-game comedy adapted from Matsumoto Hideyoshi’s manga, a special crossover promotional video titled 「仁義なき蟹バトルPV」 (Jingi Naki Kani Battle PV / “Ruthless Crab Battle PV”) has been released.
Why Crabs?
The PV was inspired by a delightful coincidence: both series happen to feature crab-fighting sequences at roughly the same time. Sabagebu! Episode 11, “Akai Ryuusei” (Red Meteor), and Mahou no Shimai Lulut Lily Episode 16 each prominently feature battles against crabs. The official X (Twitter) accounts for both shows also ran linked collab posts depicting characters Kamo, Uguisu, and Azuki holding a friendly get-together after their respective crab victories.
Sabagebu! Episode 11 Free on YouTube for One Week
Sabagebu! MISSION 11 “Akai Ryuusei” is available to watch free on YouTube from October 25 through November 1 at 23:59. Fans who want to see the crab battle that sparked the crossover have a limited window to catch it at no cost.
Mizkan “Ajipon” Collab Campaign
Episode 16 of Mahou no Shimai Lulut Lily features a ponzu sauce called 「美味ぽん」 (Umaipon) — a clear nod to Mizkan’s popular 「味ぽん」 (Ajipon) product. To mark the occasion, a collab campaign has been launched with the official Mizkan Ajipon X account. To enter, users must follow both the Mahou no Shimai Lulut Lily and Ajipon official X accounts, then quote-repost a designated post with the hashtag #美味ぽん. Ten winners chosen by lottery will receive a set of ponzu sauce bearing the “Umaipon” label along with a bromide photo set of Lily and Lulu.
