The staff behind the television anime adaptation of Ryō Ariyama‘s light novel series Romelia War Chronicle: Even After Defeating the Demon King, Humanity Still Seems Doomed, So I Formed a Military Force announced on Saturday that the anime’s second cours will premiere in April 2027. The announcement also confirmed that voice actor Hiro Shimono will perform the ending theme song for the second part.
Story
After accompanying her fiancé on a quest to defeat the Demon King, Romelia is abruptly declared useless and sent home with her engagement annulled. While the prince and his companions return as celebrated heroes, Rome makes the journey back to her home province in disgrace. But she is not the same girl who left. Though she lacked magic or physical strength, Rome spent the adventure honing her own talents — in trade, negotiation, finance, and intelligence gathering. She now intends to use those skills to revitalize her family’s province and shore up a kingdom that is still far from safe. The Demon King may be gone, but his former allies and roaming demons remain a threat. Armed with nothing but her wits and brilliance, Rome sets out to build her own military force and protect the kingdom at any cost.
First Cours Broadcast Details
The anime’s first cours launched via streaming in Japan on U-NEXT, Anime Times, and Netflix on October 3 at 9:00 p.m. JST, followed by a television broadcast on October 5 at 11:30 p.m. JST across Tokyo MX, BS11, Sun TV, and KBS Kyoto. Crunchyroll simulcast the series for international audiences. The anime was announced from the outset as a two-cours production.
