Megahouse has opened pre-orders for the VAKIT Mobile Suit Gundam: Zeon’s Resurgence — Dwadge G-Type, a partially pre-painted assembly plastic kit available through Premium Bandai, hobby shops across Japan, and various online retailers. The kit is priced at ¥8,800 (tax included), with shipment scheduled for July 2027.

About Mobile Suit Gundam

Mobile Suit Gundam first aired in 1979, revolutionising the mecha genre by portraying robots as realistic military weapons called “mobile suits.” Its grounded depiction of warfare, meticulous scientific world-building, and complex human drama established the “Real Robot Anime” genre — moving beyond simple good-versus-evil narratives — and the franchise has remained hugely popular both in Japan and internationally for over 40 years.

About the VAKIT Dwadge G-Type

VAKIT (Variable Action Kit) is Megahouse’s line of partially pre-painted assembly kits designed to be both fun to build and open to further customisation — buyers are encouraged to add their own paint schemes freely. This release faithfully recreates the distinctive design of the Dwadge G-Type as it appears in Gundam: Zeon’s Resurgence. While the pose is fixed, the contrast between its imposing armour plating and finely detailed surface work makes for an impressive display piece. Sculpting and painting of the prototype were handled by Pinpoint Co., Ltd.
