The TV anime adaptation of Breath (ブレス), based on the manga by Yukino Sonoyama, has revealed its official key visual and first promotional video. The series is set to premiere on Fuji TV in the Noitamina programming block starting January 8, 2027, airing every Friday at 23:30.

Key Visual Inspired by an Eyeshadow Palette

The newly unveiled key visual makes a bold stylistic statement: protagonists Aia Udagawa and Jun Sumizaki are depicted as if nestled inside an eyeshadow compact, with a color palette and composition that evoke the world of makeup artistry. Various items float around the two characters, each chosen to reflect a different member of the cast.

First PV Loaded with In-Episode Cuts

The debut PV features a generous selection of footage from the actual series, giving viewers a vivid first look at the show’s visual style. The video also confirms that the ending theme will be “New Page” by HIKKA, with a portion of the track featured in the PV itself.

HIKKA’s Comment

“When I was asked to perform the ending theme, I was genuinely thrilled and honoured. There’s so much about the protagonist Aia that resonates with me personally. Because I’ve spent a lot of time searching for my own identity while struggling with doubts, I poured into ‘New Page’ the words I would have wanted to hear during those uncertain times. Moving forward into your own future, even while carrying the weight of the past and inner conflict — I hope this song can become one meaningful page for everyone who listens.”

Synopsis

Breath follows Aia, who once gave up on her dream of becoming a makeup artist, and Jun, a young man who longs to be a model but has never found the courage to take the first step. Together, the two begin walking toward their dreams through the world of makeup.
