The official website for the A Wild Last Boss Appeared! (Yasei no Last Boss ga Arawareta!) Season 2 television anime — based on the light novel series by Firehead and YahaKo — has unveiled a second promotional video, additional cast members, an early streaming premiere date, and the ending theme song artist.
Theme Songs & Premiere Dates
The new promo video previews the ending theme “Yurete Skirt” (Swaying Skirt), performed by Chakura. The opening theme, “Melodic Impact,” is performed by rock band Suspended 4th.
Season 2 will make its early streaming debut on ABEMA and U-NEXT on September 26 at 10:30 p.m., ahead of its television broadcast premiere on October 3 at 10:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX. BS Asahi and Kansai TV will follow on October 4.

Yūya Horiuchi returns to direct at studio Wao World, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu again handling series scripts. Character designer Maiko Ebisawa from the first season returns, joined by first-season episode chief animation directors Tōko Nakamura, Takashi Kobayashi, Shōta Ueno, Mamiko Mizutani, and Takahiro Miura, all of whom are contributing to character design alongside new designer Akiko Satō.

Synopsis
In the year 2800 of the Mizgard calendar, Rufus Mafarl — feared as the Black-Winged Conqueror — faces his final battle against the Seven Heroes. After an intense clash, his reign of domination ends. Though his sealing appears to restore peace, the resulting collapse of the balance of power leaves the world threatened by devilfolk.
Two hundred years later, humanity desperately summons a new hero to fight back — but instead, the overlord Lufas awakens from his long seal!
About the Source Material
Firehead and YahaKo originally published A Wild Last Boss Appeared! on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Be Novelists) website starting in 2015, concluding in 2017. Earth Star Entertainment released the ninth and final light novel volume in print in April 2019. A manga adaptation by Tsubasa Hazuki launched on Comic Earth Star in 2017. J-Novel Club publishes both the novel and manga in English. The franchise has over 1.4 million copies in circulation.
