The October issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine announced on Friday that manga duo Adachitoka will launch a new series titled Yadoya no Oinu-sama (やどやのお犬さま — The Inn’s Dog) beginning with the magazine’s November 2026 issue, which goes on sale October 6, 2026.
Adachitoka shared a preview image of the new manga on their official X/Twitter account alongside the announcement.
Story
The series centers on Kasumi Kuromine, a middle school girl living in the countryside. During a school field trip, an accident sends her tumbling down a mountainside.
About Adachitoka
Adachitoka is best known for Noragami: Stray God, which ran in Monthly Shonen Magazine from 2010 until January 2024. Kodansha shipped the 27th and final compiled volume in February 2024.
The Noragami manga inspired a 12-episode television anime that premiered in January 2014, with Funimation handling streaming and home video distribution. A second season, Noragami Aragoto, followed in October 2015 under the same arrangement. The property also spawned two stage plays, in January 2016 and February 2017 respectively.
Kodansha released the first volume of Noragami: Stray Stories in Japan in November 2013. Studio BONES adapted one story from that volume into an original anime OVA bundled with the 15th volume of the main manga in Japan.
