The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the original television anime Tetsuryō! meet with Tetsudō Musume announced on Sunday that artist Asaka is performing the series’ opening theme song, “GO! GO! RAILWAY!!”
Story
The anime follows four train-loving college students who belong to the Tetsudō Ryokō Dōkō-kai — known as “Tetsuryo” for short, or literally the Railway Travel Club. Together they journey across a world where hundreds of Tetsudō Musume characters live and work.

TOMYTEC is credited for the original work, developed in collaboration with Kisetsu Morita, the novelist behind I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level. Misuzu Hoshino — known for episode directing on Laid-Back Camp and directing Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! and The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious — helms the anime at East Fish Studio. Aya Satsuki (Solo Camping for Two, “Ippon” Again!, Too Cute Crisis) is handling series composition and scripts, while Hisanori Hashimoto (Laid-Back Camp Season 3) is designing the characters.
The ending theme, “Watashi Miraisen” (My Future Line), will be performed by the Tetsuryo Club — a unit formed by the four lead voice actresses: May Tachibana, Mao Shōji, Haruna Fukushima, and Hika Tsukishiro.
Broadcast & Streaming
The anime premieres on October 8 at midnight JST (effectively the start of October 9) on Tokyo MX and BS Fuji. HIDIVE will simulcast the series for viewers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. The anime’s world premiere was held at Anime NYC on August 21.
About Tetsudō Musume
The Tetsudō Musume (Railway Girls) franchise features characters who “work” at railway companies and railway-related businesses across Japan, dressed in authentic uniforms and work attire. As of May 2025, there are 114 Tetsudō Musume characters nationwide. The franchise launched in 2005 and celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2025.
