The special edition of Blue Lock volume 40 — the manga written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura — is set to release on August 17, packaged with a set of eight newly photographed clear files tied to the upcoming live-action film adaptation.
The clear files were produced specifically to commemorate the theatrical release of the live-action Blue Lock film. The eight designs are split across two visual themes — character costumes and casual street-style outfits — and feature the following cast members:
- Fumiya Takahashi as Yoichi Isagi
- Kaito Sakurai as Meguru Bachira
- K (of &TEAM) as Seishiro Nagi
- Keiei Tsuna as Reo Mikage
