ทันจิโร่เผชิญหน้ากับเอ็นมุบนหลังคารถไฟ Mugen Train ในAnimeดาบพิฆาตอสูร

The ongoing full-series rerun of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba reached Mugen Train Arc Episode 4, “Insult,” on November 1, 2026. The episode delivered some of the arc’s most emotionally charged moments, drawing a flood of reactions from viewers online.

Tanjiro’s Unconscious Realm

Aboard the Mugen Train, Lower Moon One Enmu (魘夢) has put Tanjiro and his companions to sleep using his Blood Demon Art. The boy sent to destroy Tanjiro’s “spiritual core” finds the unconscious realm unexpectedly beautiful and serene — so much so that he can barely bring himself to act.

Viewers noted that certain scenes in this sequence — such as a spirit grasping the hand of a sickly child — appear to be TV-version additions not present in the theatrical film, sparking discussion about the differences between the two cuts.

Inosuke and Zenitsu’s Unconscious Realms

The contrast with Inosuke (嘴平伊之助) and Zenitsu (我妻善逸) could not be sharper. Inosuke chases the girl who called him a “naked boar” around his dream, while Zenitsu creeps up on a boy in pitch darkness wielding an enormous pair of scissors. Viewers were delighted: “I don’t even know who the enemy is supposed to be,” one wrote, while another sympathized with the child unlucky enough to enter Inosuke’s dream.

Tanjiro Wakes and Confronts Enmu

Guided by his father’s voice, Tanjiro forces himself awake and, with Nezuko’s help, severs the cords binding his companions and Flame Hashira Rengoku Kyojuro. On the roof of the train he faces Enmu directly, unleashing Water Breathing, Tenth Form: Constant Flux. Enmu counters with his Blood Demon Art — “Slumber…!” — but no matter how many times he repeats the command, Tanjiro refuses to fall asleep, having learned to recognize the onset of the spell and cut himself awake each time.

“Don’t You Dare Insult My Family!”

Desperate, Enmu forces a cruel nightmare on Tanjiro: his younger siblings weeping and blaming him for not saving them, his father calling him useless, and his mother delivering the final blow — “It should have been you who died.”

Tanjiro erupts: “My family would never say that! Don’t you dare insult my family!”

The reaction online was overwhelming:

  • “That scene made me cry every time.”
  • “Enmu doesn’t know the Kamado family — that’s why he thought this would work.”
  • “Instead of breaking him, the nightmare only makes Tanjiro’s resolve stronger.”

Tanjiro succeeds in severing Enmu’s head — but Enmu keeps talking, and reveals that while everyone slept, he merged his body with the entire Mugen Train, turning every passenger into a hostage.

Inosuke’s Explosive Awakening

Just as the crisis peaks, Inosuke bursts through the roof of the train in spectacular fashion. Viewers laughed and marveled in equal measure: “How strong is this guy?” and “Stop destroying the roof, Inosuke!” — but all agreed it was a perfectly on-brand entrance. Charge straight ahead — make way for Lord Inosuke!

Cast Comments: Hanako and Rokuta

The official Kimetsu no Yaiba account continued its weekly series of cast comments commemorating the rerun. Following last week’s messages from the voice actors for Takeo and Shigeru, this week featured the two youngest Kamado siblings.

Hanako, the second-youngest daughter, is voiced by Ohara Yoshimi, known for Roxy Migurdia in Mushoku Tensei and Fujiwara Chika in Kaguya-sama: Love is War. She wrote:

“I wish it had only been a dream… There should have been a future where we were all happy together. It’s sad, it’s frustrating, but reality doesn’t change. Seeing my brother face the demons with that weight on his shoulders — he’s so cool. The family will always live inside Tanjiro, and I’ll always be cheering him on: ‘You’ve got this, big brother.'”

Rokuta, the youngest child, is voiced by Koga Aoi, celebrated for her lead roles as Shinomiya Kaguya in Kaguya-sama: Love is War and Komi Shoko in Komi Can’t Communicate. She recalled the recording session:

“During recording, Kuwashima Houko — who plays their mother, Kie — told me, ‘Rokuta is the last one in the Kamado family to speak to Tanjiro.’ I still remember that moment vividly. I poured everything I had into making sure those words reached him.”

Next Episode: “Forward”

The full-series rerun began on April 5 — just one day before the seventh anniversary of the anime’s original premiere on April 6, 2019. Episode 5, “Forward,” will reveal the name and secret of Inosuke’s Kasugai Crow. The Mugen Train keeps rolling…

Meanwhile, the theatrical trilogy Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle is now in Japanese cinemas, with Chapter 1: The Return of Akaza having opened on July 18, 2025.
