New details for the sequel to Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya – Licht Nameless Girl are set to be revealed on July 20. Kadokawa previously unveiled a new visual for the project at a 10th anniversary event for the anime franchise in August 2023, with the sequel itself first announced in August 2021.
The film Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya – Licht Nameless Girl opened in Japan in August 2021. Sentai Filmworks later released the film on home video and select digital outlets.
About the Franchise
The franchise is based on an original manga by Hiroshi Hiroyama, which reimagines the Fate/stay night character Illyasviel von Einzbern as a magical girl in an alternate universe. Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya ran in Kadokawa Shoten’s Comp Ace magazine from 2007 to 2008, after which Hiroyama launched several sequel manga series. Seven Seas has licensed Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya: The Complete Manga Collection for English release.

The manga has been adapted into four television anime series:

The franchise has also produced two anime films: Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya: Vow in the Snow, the first theatrical entry, opened in Japan in August 2017, followed by the original video anime Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya: Prisma Phantasm, which screened in Japanese theaters in June 2019.
