Geek Pictures India announced on August 25 that it is developing an original magical-girl anime titled Panchsheela, describing the project as a creative collaboration between India and Japan.
Story
When the ancient darkness Daki Daayan escapes after centuries of imprisonment, five ordinary schoolgirls — Mezi, Kaya, Amba, Zoonie, and Tara — are chosen to become the Panchsheela: magical warriors who each embody the power of a sacred chakra.
Guided by their bumbling mentor Guru Garu and five animal companions who carry mystical knowledge, the girls must fight the “Negatives” — ordinary people whom Daki transforms into her army of destruction — all while navigating homework, heartbreak, terrible hostel food, and conflicts with one another.
The central question: can this magical sisterhood handle the pressures of everyday school life while mastering their powers to stop Daki’s reign of terror?
