and GALLERY has announced a limited-run collaboration café based on the hit anime film Kitaro Tanjo: GeGeGe no Nazo (鬼太郎誕生 ゲゲゲの謎), themed around a concept called “Moon-lit Night Soirée Cafe.” The event runs from October 3 to October 31, 2026 at three and GALLERY locations: Yurakucho (Tokyo), Namba No. 2 (Osaka), and Nagoya No. 1 (Aichi).
About the Film
Released in November 2023 to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of manga legend Shigeru Mizuki, Kitaro Tanjo: GeGeGe no Nazo is a feature-length anime film that delves into the secret origins of Kitaro. It chronicles the fateful first meeting between the man who would become the iconic Medama Oyaji (Eyeball Father) and Mizuki, and the destiny the two fathers must face together. The film earned the Excellence Award for Animation at the 47th Japan Academy Prize and later received an enhanced re-release, the Shinsei-ban, with upgraded visuals and audio.
