Fans of Go-Toubun no Hanayome (The Quintessential Quintuplets) have a new reason to get excited: the online merchandise store AMNIBUS has opened pre-orders for a brand-new goods line from the TV special anime Go-Toubun no Hanayome＊, part of the Ani-Art KAWAII label series. The collection features all-new drawn-down (描き下ろし) illustrations of the Nakano quintuplets rendered in soft pastel tones, themed around the adorable “Star Maid Ver.” (星空メイドver.) costume design.
About Go-Toubun no Hanayome
The franchise is based on the romantic-comedy manga by Negi Haruba, which ran in Weekly Shonen Magazine until February 2020. The story follows Uesugi Futaro, a top-ranked student who becomes a private tutor for the five Nakano sisters — all of whom are struggling academically — and guides them through to high-school graduation.
The TV anime’s first season aired from January to March 2019, followed by the second season Go-Toubun no Hanayome∬ from January to March 2021. The theatrical film Go-Toubun no Hanayome, depicting the school festival arc that serves as the story’s climax, opened on May 20, 2022. A further theatrical release, Go-Toubun no Hanayome∽, adapted manga episodes not previously animated and opened in July 2023, while Go-Toubun no Hanayome＊ — covering Futaro and the quintuplets’ honeymoon — followed in September 2024. A new anime project, Go-Toubun no Hanayome【Shunkashuutou】, is also currently in production.
