TOHO Games and G2Studios unveiled a new promotional video and main visual for Haikyu!! ALL Challengers via the game’s official website on Tuesday. The title marks the first training simulation smartphone game based on the Haikyu!! anime, and pre-registration is currently open on both iOS and Android.
Gameplay Features
The game incorporates newly drawn 2D animation sequences and illustrations, along with freshly recorded voice performances. Players take charge of their team’s development by deciding training strategies, identifying which stats to improve, and planning the overall training regimen accordingly.
Previous Haikyu!! Mobile Games
Changyou and Prophet Games previously launched the Haikyu!! Fly High smartphone game — based on Haruichi Furudate‘s original manga — in March 2024. KLab and Garena subsequently brought the game to North America, Latin America, Europe, and Southeast Asia in July 2025.
Manga and Anime History
Furudate launched the Haikyu!! manga in 2011 and concluded the series in July 2020. Shueisha published the 45th and final compiled volume in November 2020. Viz Media publishes the manga in English both digitally and in print, while MANGA Plus also offers a digital English edition.
Production I.G‘s first television anime adaptation premiered in April 2014, followed by a second season in October 2015 and a third in October 2016. The fourth season, Haikyu!! To The Top, began airing in January 2020. Its second half (episodes 14–25), originally set for July 2020, was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and ultimately premiered in October 2020.
Sequel Films
HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle (Gekijōban Haikyu!! Gomi Suteba no Kessen), the first of a two-part theatrical sequel project, opened in Japan in February 2024. It sold 1,529,000 tickets for 2,230,465,540 yen (approximately US$14.12 million at the time) in its opening three days. The film screened in North American theaters in May 2024, both subtitled and dubbed in English.
The second sequel film, Gekijōban Haikyū!! VS Chiisana Kyojin (Haikyu!! Vs. The Little Giant), is scheduled to open in Japan in 2027. It will screen alongside the special anime “Haikyū!! Bakemono-tachi no Iku Tokoro” (Where Monsters Go).
