ภาพประชาสัมพันธ์ภาพยนตร์ Saishu Gakusho Hibike! Euphonium เวอร์ชัน Dolby Cinema

The theatrical anime Saishu Gakusho Hibike! Euphonium (最終楽章 響け!ユーフォニアム) — the concluding chapter of the beloved series that has spanned over 11 years — will receive a Dolby Cinema release of its first part at 8 theaters nationwide in Japan starting August 14. The announcement also confirms special events and a redistribution of previously offered bonus gifts.

Enhanced Visuals and Sound with Dolby Cinema

The Dolby Cinema format promises a significantly elevated viewing experience, featuring richer colors, more nuanced lighting, and immersive audio. Wind band performance sequences in particular are expected to benefit greatly, drawing audiences deeper into the film’s world.

Audio Drama Cards Return as Bonus Gift

Attendees of the Dolby Cinema screenings will receive an Audio Drama Download Card — originally distributed as the Week 4 bonus gift between May 15 and 21 — now being redistributed for this run. There are three card varieties, distributed at random:

  • “Futari no Magic Hour” — featuring Kumiko and Reina
  • “Kanade no Torishirabeshitsu” — featuring Kanade and Mayu
  • “Futarigurashi no Nichijou” — featuring Asuka and Kaori

Special Events: Live Concert and Stage Greeting

Two special events are planned alongside the Dolby Cinema run:

  • Concert Screening on August 1 — Audiences will enjoy a live ensemble performance by Progressive! Wind Orchestra, the group responsible for the wind band music heard throughout the film.
  • Stage Greeting on August 15 — Attendees will hear from voice actress Tomoyo Kurosawa (Kumiko Himeno), director Taichi Ogawa, and sound director Yota Tsuruoka, who will discuss the creative decisions behind the Dolby Cinema presentation and share behind-the-scenes stories from production.
