September 13 is officially recognized as “Fist of the North Star Day” by the Japan Anniversary Association, marking the date in 1983 when the manga by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara first began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha). This year, the occasion was celebrated with a pair of special video releases tied to the new anime series 北斗の拳 -FIST OF THE NORTH STAR-.

Cast Talk Show Streamed on YouTube

The Anime Tokyo Station official YouTube channel streamed a talk show recorded on September 6 at the “Special Exhibition for Anime FIST OF THE NORTH STAR” in Tokyo. Three cast members took the stage:

• Shunsuke Takeuchi — voice of Kenshiro
• Yasuhiro Mamiya — voice of Daiya and various minor characters
• Jun Fukushima — voice of various minor characters

The trio looked back on the first cour of the anime and spotlighted characters to watch in the upcoming second cour.

Season 2 “Creative Movie” Goes Live

Warner Bros. Japan Anime’s official YouTube channel simultaneously released the “2nd Cour CREATIVE MOVIE,” offering an inside look at the production of the second season. The video features interviews with animators and creators, behind-the-scenes footage from the studio floor, and a glimpse of the hard work going into bringing the series back for its second cour. The second cour of the anime is scheduled to broadcast and stream in 2027.

Collaborations and Merchandise

Walking App “aruku&” Collaboration

A collaboration with the walking app aruku& has been announced for October 21 through November 10. Players will follow a special story themed around the series, collecting “seed grains” to survive against villains.

Suntory Vending Machine Original Label Cans

From September 24, Suntory vending machines across Japan will sell cans featuring 10 original character label designs: Kenshiro, Raoh, Toki, Jagi, Yuria, Bat/Rin, Mamiya, Shin, Rei, and a generic villain. A limited number of “winning cans” will also include an acrylic keychain.

Sauna Goods Collaboration with 370 (ThreeSeventy)

On September 28, a collaboration with 370 (ThreeSeventy) will launch a line of sauna goods including sauna hats, T-shirts, towels, and wooden tag keychains, all themed around characters such as the pink mohawk villain, Raoh, and Jagi. A launch event will be held on September 28 at MONSTER WORK & SAUNA in Kichijoji, Tokyo — check the venue’s official social media for details.
