East Japan Railway Company (JR East) has announced a special Mobile Suica × Detective Conan (名探偵コナン) campaign to mark the 30th anniversary of the beloved anime series. Running from September 1, 2026, the promotion gives Mobile Suica users the chance to receive limited-edition card faces — custom designs that can be applied to the Mobile Suica interface on their smartphones.
About Detective Conan
Detective Conan is a TV anime based on the mystery manga by Gosho Aoyama, serialised in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shōnen Sunday. The series has sold over 270 million copies worldwide and won the 46th Shogakukan Manga Award in the boys’ category. It first aired in January 1996, making 2026 its landmark 30th anniversary year. The latest theatrical entry, Detective Conan: The Angel of Death on the Highway, is currently showing in cinemas, continuing the franchise’s record-breaking run at the box office.
Two Exclusive Card Face Designs
The campaign offers two distinct card face designs:
- “Junior Detective League (少年探偵団) ver”
- “Edogawa Conan & Kaitou Kid (江戸川コナン & 怪盗キッド) ver”
Participants can obtain both designs by joining each respective course.
Course 1: Mobile Suica Commuter Pass — Guaranteed Junior Detective League Card Face
- Period: September 1 – October 7, 2026
- How to receive: Purchase a new or renewed commuter/student season ticket (通勤・通学定期券) via the Mobile Suica app during the campaign period. No prior entry is required — all eligible purchasers will receive the Junior Detective League card face.
- Key conditions: Must be a registered Mobile Suica member. Importing an existing Suica card season ticket does not qualify; a new or renewed purchase after import is required. Bus season tickets and purchases made between 23:45–05:00 are excluded. The card face will be delivered approximately one week after purchase. Refunded season tickets are generally disqualified.
Course 2: Shopping Course — Draw for Conan & Kid Card Face + Up to 50,000 JRE POINTS
- Entry period: September 1 – October 15, 2026
- Shopping tallying period: September 1 – October 31, 2026
- How to enter: Register your Mobile Suica with the JRE POINT website, then enter via the dedicated campaign page. During the tallying period, fulfil both of the following conditions:
- Condition 1: Make at least one JRE POINT-earning purchase at a participating store or service using your registered Mobile Suica.
- Condition 2: Accumulate a total of ¥5,000 (tax included) or more in Mobile Suica purchases. Each additional ¥5,000 earns one extra entry. First-time Mobile Suica members who register during the entry period receive double entries.
- Prizes (200,000 winners in total):
- Conan & Kaitou Kid card face — awarded to all 200,000 winners
- 1st prize: 50,000 JRE POINTS — 100 winners
- 2nd prize: 2,000 JRE POINTS — 3,000 winners
- 3rd prize: 100 JRE POINTS — 196,900 winners
- Results notification: Winners will be notified via the delivery of the card face and JRE POINTS directly to their accounts. Distribution is scheduled to begin from mid-December 2026. The card face and points may be delivered on separate dates.
