The staff behind the television anime adaptation of Ezogingitune and illustrator DeeCHA‘s light novel series I Became a Legend After My 10 Year-Long Last Stand (Koko wa Ore ni Makasete Saki ni Ike to Ittekara 10-nen ga Tattara Densetsu ni Natteita.) released a new promotional video on Tuesday, confirming a July 6 premiere date. The series was originally slated to debut in April but was delayed to July in order to “present an even more enjoyable work for everyone.”
Theme Songs
The new PV also reveals and previews both theme songs. Rock band sajou no hana will perform the opening theme “Soredemo Donten o Koeteyuku” (Even So, We Go Past the Cloudy Skies), while rock-idol girl group MEISHOHIKOKAI — previously announced — will handle the ending theme “Ari Kitari na Nichijō to Kōun na Hibi e” (Lucky in the Ordinary).
Story
With no other options, Luck makes the choice to hold the line against unending demonic hordes alone, ensuring his comrades can escape with their lives. Through a combination of fortune, skill, and ingenuity, he holds that line for ten straight years and ultimately prevails single-handedly. Now he must figure out how to live in a world that sees him simultaneously as a legend, a veteran, and a complete newcomer.

About the Source Material
The web novel began serialization on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in June 2018. The light novel’s first volume launched in February 2019, and the eighth volume is due on July 15. A manga adaptation illustrated by Chaco Abeno with composition by Kitsune Tennōji launched on Square Enix’s Manga UP! service in August 2019; its 19th compiled volume shipped on April 7. The combined novel and manga series has surpassed 4.45 million copies in circulation. Square Enix and Comikey are publishing the manga in English.
