Fans of Kusuriya no Hitorigoto (The Apothecary Diaries) have a treat in store this summer: a limited pop-up event is coming to Nagasaki Stadium City (2F, beside Mimisu Sushi), running for 31 days from July 31 to August 30, 2026. Admission is free.
Exclusive New-Illustration Merchandise
The event’s centrepiece is a range of goods featuring newly drawn illustrations of four fan-favourite characters — Maomao, Jinshi, Xiaolan, and Zisui. The lineup spans acrylic stands, keychains, and stickers through to apparel such as T-shirts, all incorporating the fresh artwork including adorable mini-character designs.
Shoppers who spend ¥3,000 or more (tax included) in a single purchase will receive one original postcard chosen at random from a set of eight — covering both standard and mini-character versions of all four characters.
Love-Potion Carnival Game
A festival-style game called “壬氏さまへの献上 媚薬調合の儀” (“Tribute to Lord Jinshi: The Love Potion Mixing Ceremony”) lets players step into Maomao’s shoes as she concocts a love potion for Jinshi. For ¥800 (tax included) per play, participants spin a roulette wheel and win a prize corresponding to the panel it lands on. There are no blanks — every spin guarantees a limited item:
- Grand Prize (特等): Tote bag
- First Prize (一等): Compact mirror
- Participation Prize (参加賞): Hand fan
Photo Spots
Two dedicated photo spots featuring the new illustrations will be set up at the venue, giving visitors the chance to snap a memorable shot alongside Maomao, Jinshi, and the rest of the cast.
About Kusuriya no Hitorigoto
Kusuriya no Hitorigoto is a palace-mystery franchise with cumulative series sales exceeding 45 million copies. The story follows Maomao, a young apothecary serving as a food taster in the imperial court, who uses her encyclopaedic knowledge of medicine and poisons to unravel the harem’s many secrets. Its blend of intricate mystery, exotic atmosphere, and rich human drama has earned it devoted fans across all age groups.
Following the conclusion of Season 2 in July 2025, a third TV anime season was announced, scheduled to air from October 2026 in a split two-cour format, alongside a theatrical film set for release in December 2026.
