DEATH NOTE is a manga by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, that became a global phenomenon. The story centers on the battle of wits between Light Yagami (Kira), a genius student who uses a supernatural notebook to execute criminals in pursuit of a utopian world, and L, the world’s greatest detective working to unravel the mysterious deaths.
