The official website for the television anime adaptation of Jura‘s manga My Girlfriend’s Friend (Kanojo no Tomodachi) has revealed additional cast members, the main promotional video, and a confirmed premiere date of October 4.
New Cast Members
The newly announced cast additions are Riho Sugiyama as Miyuki and Ryōka Yuzuki as Kaori’s mother. They join the previously announced leads:
- Ryūga Nagaike as Takeru
- Sayahana Hanemurasaki as Kaori
- Miki Hase as Tomoko
Theme Songs
Airots performs the opening theme “Gingira,” while Ceui handles the ending theme “False Love.” The newly released main promotional video previews the opening theme.
Broadcast & Streaming Schedule
The anime premieres on Tokyo MX on October 4 at 25:05 (effectively October 5 at 1:05 a.m.), followed by a BS11 broadcast on October 7. The “Complete Deregula” version will begin streaming on AnimeFesta from October 5 at 1:05 a.m., with the standard broadcast version also available on AnimeFesta and other streaming services.

About the Manga
Jura launched My Girlfriend’s Friend on Kodansha’s YanMaga Web in May 2021. The seventh compiled volume was published on July 16.
Story
The series centers on high school student Takeru, whose girlfriend Kaori was the first person ever to confess her feelings to him. His comfortable new relationship is thrown into turmoil when Kaori’s friend Tomoko begins to seduce him, using her voluptuous figure to tempt him away.
