Netflix and Crunchyroll are set to add more episodes to the third curated collection of the Detective Conan anime, titled “FBI Intervention,” on August 1. The collection first launched on May 1, featuring episodes that had never previously received an official U.S. release.
The specific episodes included in the “FBI Intervention” collection are numbers 170-171, 226-227, 258-259, 277-278, 279-280, and 307-308 from the overall anime series.
TMS’s Curated Collection Initiative
TMS Entertainment launched its first specially curated selection, “Conan vs. The Black Organization,” in July 2025. That collection focused on episodes featuring the titular villainous organization, including titles never before available in the U.S. Crunchyroll and Netflix added further episodes to that first collection in August 2025.
The second curated collection, “Rivals of the Great Detective,” highlighting episodes centered on Conan’s rivals and allies, began streaming in November 2025 and received additional episodes on January 1.
All collections stream in Japanese alongside a new English dub produced by Studio Nano, distinct from the earlier Bang Zoom! and Funimation dubs.
About Detective Conan
The Detective Conan television anime first aired on January 8, 1996, and celebrated its 30th anniversary on January 8, 2026. It is based on the manga by Gōshō Aoyama, which has run in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shounen Sunday since 1994. Viz Media publishes the manga in English under the title Case Closed.
The story follows Conan Edogawa, the alias of teenage detective Shinichi Kudo, whose body was shrunk after he was poisoned. Alongside detective Kogoro Mori and his daughter Ran, Conan helps the police crack difficult cases.
Latest Film Sets New Franchise Record
On the theatrical front, Detective Conan: Highway no Datenshi (Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway), the franchise’s 29th film, opened in 526 theaters across Japan on April 10. It sold 739,000 tickets on opening day, earning 1.13 billion yen (approximately US$7.1 million) — a new franchise record, surpassing the previous record of 1.05 billion yen set by Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback.
