Travel agency H.I.S. (HIS) has announced a special tie-up with the long-running anime series Nintama Rantaro (忍たま乱太郎), bringing collaboration events to two of Japan’s most beloved hot-spring resort towns: Atami Onsen in Shizuoka Prefecture and Noboribetsu Onsen in Hokkaido. Special tour and hotel-stay packages bundled with limited-edition merchandise went on sale on 20 October 2026 at 18:00 JST.
About Nintama Rantaro
Nintama Rantaro is based on the ninja comedy manga by Amako Sohei and follows the everyday misadventures of young ninja students Rantaro, Shinbee, and Kirimaru at the Ninjutsu Academy. The TV anime has been on air since 1993 and has earned fans across multiple generations.
Most recently, the theatrical film Gekijouban Nintama Rantaro: Dokutake Ninja-tai Saikyou no Gunshi opened in cinemas on 20 December 2024. Adapted from a popular novel, the film takes a more serious tone than the TV series, beginning with the mysterious disappearance of Doi-sensei after he sets out to duel the Tasogaredoki ninja Moroizumi Sonnamon.
Collaboration Event Highlights
- GPS-linked Digital Stamp Rally: Participants visit designated spots around the hot-spring towns to collect stamps. Completing the rally earns a limited digital photo frame and an exclusive sticker.
- Collab Food & Merchandise: Special menu items and original-packaging products will be available for purchase. Buying a designated collab food item comes with one random card from a set of 14 limited designs.
- Character Decorations: Life-size character panels, nobori flags, banners, and decorative flags will be displayed at major facilities, shopping streets, and tourist spots throughout both resort towns.
