The Elbaph arc of the One Piece TV anime officially debuted in Japan on April 5, with Crunchyroll streaming the arc for international audiences. An English dub is set to premiere this fall.

New Reduced-Episode Schedule
In October 2025, Toei Animation and One Piece anime producer Ryūta Koike announced that beginning in 2026, the anime would cap its annual episode output at a maximum of 26 episodes. Following the conclusion of the Egghead arc, the series took a three-month production hiatus from January through March 2026 before returning in April with the start of the Elbaph arc — the first of two cours planned for the year.
Toei Animation stated that the new schedule allows episodes to “incorporate more content, tempo, and pacing of the manga while continuing to leverage the unique storytelling that is only possible with animation.” The anime has aired nearly every week since its 1999 premiere, though its pace has slowed considerably in recent years.
Egghead Arc Recap
The Egghead arc began airing in January 2024. In mid-October 2024, the franchise announced a production pause to “recharge,” with the arc resuming in April 2025. Part 2 of the Egghead arc launched with its first episode — the 1,123rd overall — on Fuji TV on April 5, 2025, alongside a recap of Part 1. The following episode (1,124th overall) aired on April 6, 2025, in a new timeslot at 11:15 p.m. JST.
During the Egghead arc’s hiatus, One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga aired in its place — a 21-episode abridged retelling of the Fish-Man Island arc featuring reshot scenes, retouched artwork, and other improvements.
Wit Studio’s The One Piece Coming to Netflix in 2027
Netflix will begin streaming all seven episodes of Season 1 of The One Piece — Wit Studio’s remake of the One Piece anime — worldwide in February 2027. The seven episodes will adapt the first 50 chapters of the manga across approximately 300 minutes of runtime.
