อุจิดะ ริโอะ รับบทริโนะ กำมีดในซีรีส์ Otto wo Koroshita Hazu na no ni

The live-action drama Otto wo Koroshita Hazu na no ni (I Was Supposed to Have Killed My Husband), adapted from the manga by Akaishi Mana and Digital Shokunin, has unveiled a teaser trailer, scene stills, its opening and ending theme songs, and details of a pre-air special programme.

Story

The series is a time-loop suspense thriller built around revenge. Protagonist Rino is determined to get back at her husband and his lover, but every attempt on their lives ends with her own death — only to be hurled back into the past once more. Trapped in a relentless “death loop,” she gradually edges toward a hidden truth.

Teaser and Scene Stills

The teaser opens on Rino’s seemingly happy everyday life before cutting to her drenched in blood and consumed by vengeance, capturing the madness and despair that accumulate with each loop. The scene stills include a shot of her masked husband Keita entangled with an unknown woman, and a striking image of Rino thrusting a kitchen knife forward.

Theme Songs

The opening theme is 「morning star」 by the bercedes menz, while the ending theme is 「ハナセナイ」 by Nowlu. Both acts provided comments.

Tanaka Nodobue, bassist of the bercedes menz, said the song was written around the idea that “tomorrow comes regardless, without mercy” — though he hadn’t anticipated it being used for a story where tomorrow so rarely arrives. He joked that if any day were to loop, he’d prefer a day off over the day you have to kill your husband and his mistress, and invited viewers to witness the spectacular conclusion of the revenge drama.

Nowlu described stepping into unfamiliar creative territory and writing the track with excitement about what lay ahead. They praised the series as a one-of-a-kind fusion of infidelity drama and time-loop sci-fi, and said they were looking forward to diving deep into the world of the show alongside audiences this summer.
