Kadokawa has released the second main promotional video for the anime adaptation of Pan Dorobō (Bread Thief), the picture book series by Keiko Shibata, along with several new cast announcements.
The video previews the ending theme song “Pang Pang Pang”, performed by pop icon Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. It was also announced that Kana Hanazawa is joining the production as the narrator.
About Pan Dorobō
The picture book series follows a piece of bread that sneaks around the city stealing bread from bakeries. Since the first volume debuted in April 2020, the series has grown to seven books and amassed over 4.5 million copies in circulation, earning multiple awards including the 11th LIBRO Picture Book Prize. The seventh entry, Pan Dorobō to Sweets Ōji (Bread Thief and the Old Sweets Man), shipped in September 2025.
