The beloved Pokémon slice-of-life series Poképiece — which follows a group of Pokémon and humans living together in a cozy sharehouse in a small town — is heading to Tokyo for a special themed event. “Poképiece Meets Sunshine City: Twinkle Star Idol” will run at the Fountain Plaza of Sunshine City in Ikebukuro from November 16 to 29, 2025, daily from 10:00 to 20:00. Admission is free.
The Story Behind Twinkle Star Idol
The event’s theme centers on a newly formed and much-talked-about idol unit made up of Jigglypuff and a human partner. Their debut event is set to take place in the very town where the Poképiece crew lives — but Jigglypuff, for reasons unknown, has apparently fled the scene before the show even begins. Visitors can enjoy the behind-the-scenes atmosphere and pre-show excitement of the Pokémon cast.
Event Highlights
- Kirakira☆Idol Stage — Special decorations depicting Jigglypuff and the Poképiece friends striking idol poses on stage, alongside backstage and rehearsal-themed photo spots available exclusively at this event.
- Pasha☆Plushie Photo Spot — A participatory area where guests who bring their own plushies can take photos that look as though their stuffed companions are sharing the stage with the Pokémon.
- Patchin☆High-Five Booth — A booth where Pokémon greet visitors before the show, featuring a survey panel where fans can vote for the Pokémon they think best fits the event’s theme.
