Amuse Creative Studio took the stage at Anime Expo to unveil the teaser trailer, teaser visual, main staff lineup, television format, and a 2027 premiere window for the anime adaptation of Mika Pikazo‘s Re:bel Robotica mixed media project.
Main Staff
- General Director: Shin Ōnuma, known for directing Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya and Princession Orchestra, and serving as chief director on The Misfit of Demon King Academy and Negima!?
- Director: Kōki Onoue, episode director on Sakamoto Days, To Your Eternity, and Girlfriend, Girlfriend, helming the production at SILVER LINK. Onoue also served as writer and world-setting assistant for the web novel Re:bel Robotica Episode #β One day.
- Series Composition: Ryō Yoshigami
- Character Design: Kazuyuki Yamayoshi (Chaos;Child, The Misfit of Demon King Academy)
- Theme Song & Insert Song: Yuki Kajiura, celebrated for her work on Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, and the Sword Art Online franchise. Kajiura composed the insert song heard in the teaser trailer.

Synopsis
Robotica — machines made in the very likeness of humankind. Beings that exist to serve humanity. Created to bring people happiness.
The year 2050. In a near-future Tokyo where dramatic leaps in information technology have promised every person a comfortable, contented life: Shibuya. An enigmatic girl named Lily. Her very existence will shake the world.
The anime will tell an original story set within the world of the mixed media project rather than directly adapting any single novel.
Project Background
Mika Pikazo launched Re:bel Robotica as a self-published dōjin work distributed at the summer Comiket in 2017. Publishing company ARCH partnered with Pikazo to develop the project further beginning in 2019. From January to May 2020, Ryō Yoshigami (Psycho-Pass 3: First Inspector, Dopeman) serialized the web novel Re:bel Robotica Episode #β One day. on the project’s website. Yoshigami then wrote the light novel Re:bel Robotica 0, which launched in September 2022. That same month, Gakuto Mikumo (Strike the Blood, Asura Cryin’, Dantalian no Shoka) published a separate novel simply titled Re:bel Robotica.
About Mika Pikazo
Pikazo is widely recognized for designing VTubers Kaguya Luna and Hakoz Baelz, as well as the characters Sei Shounagon and Mysterious Ranmaru X in Fate/Grand Order. She is the character designer for Nintendo’s Fire Emblem Engage and provided the original character designs for the World Dai Star mixed media project, which served as the basis for the Stella of the Theater: World Dai Star television anime in 2023.
