The BL drama Renai Ruby no Tadashii Furikata has been confirmed for a second season, set to air on TOKYO MX1 during the October 2026 broadcast period. The season will run for six episodes.
Story
Based on the manga by Ogeretsu Tanaka (published by Shinshokan under the Dear+ Comics label), the series follows the reunion of the quiet Suzuki Hiroshi and the boldly persistent Washizawa Natsuki, who had pestered him back in high school. Season 1 aired during the July 2025 broadcast season.
Season 2 picks up after the two have gotten together, depicting their life as a couple. The new season will tell an original story — incorporating a spinoff arc from the source material — developed under the supervision of Ogeretsu Tanaka herself. The couple’s happy daily life gradually begins to shift as their circumstances change and new characters enter the picture.

Both lead actors return: Iwahashi Genki as Hiroshi and Soma Osamu as Natsuki. Director Sato Yasuki and screenwriter Takahashi Mikiko also continue from Season 1.

Season 1 Rerun & Streaming
A rerun of Season 1 has also been announced, airing every Thursday on TOKYO MX starting August 6, with catch-up streaming available on TVer after each broadcast. From July 14, the series will also be available on Hulu, U-NEXT, and DMM TV, in addition to FOD where it is already streaming.
