The large-scale art exhibition SAKAMOTO DAYS 展 (SAKAMOTO DAYS Exhibition), dedicated to Yuto Suzuki’s hit manga series, is now open at Gallery AaMo in Tokyo Dome City. The show features over 170 finished manuscript pages — including full-color illustrations — alongside more than 90 handwritten creative materials, among them previously unpublished behind-the-scenes documents.

About SAKAMOTO DAYS

SAKAMOTO DAYS is a neo-action comedy manga by Yuto Suzuki that launched in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 51 of 2020 (on sale November 21, 2020). The story follows Taro Sakamoto, a legendary former hitman turned family man, as he fights to protect his ordinary life from a mysterious organization and countless conspiracies. The series currently spans 27 volumes with cumulative worldwide sales — including digital editions — exceeding 15 million copies. The TV anime aired its first cour from January to March 2025 and its second cour from July to September 2025. A live-action film released during Golden Week 2026 drew 2.03 million admissions and grossed 2.8 billion yen.

Exhibition Highlights

The exhibition is organized into themed zones, with Suzuki’s artwork displayed at impressive scale within a dynamically designed space. Photography is permitted in most areas.

• ZONE 1 “Sakamoto Store, Open for Business” — An immersive recreation of the Sakamoto family shop, complete with character-themed merchandise displays.
• ZONE 2 “Destruction, Front Lines” — A striking red tower surrounded by rare reproduction line drawings, serving as a major photo spot.
• ZONE 3 “Art of the Kill” — Iconic battle scenes presented in three dimensions, with characters appearing to burst out of their frames and shattered glass scattered across the floor.
• ZONE 7 — A gallery of color cover illustrations from every volume, displayed alongside their creative materials.

A special non-photography zone displays Suzuki’s personal studio items, including a fist-sized black ball formed from accumulated eraser shavings — a tangible testament to the artist’s relentless trial and error.

The exhibition also offers an exclusive first look at the cover illustration for Volume 28, drawn by Suzuki and featuring the character Shu Yotsumura, ahead of its August 4 release date.

Voice Actor Nobunaga Shimazaki Attends Opening Event

Nobunaga Shimazaki, who voices Shin Asakura in the TV anime, attended the pre-opening event and shared his impressions enthusiastically.
