Kadokawa has released a wave of new information for the second season of the Sasaki and Peeps television anime, based on the light novel series written by Buncololi with illustrations by Kantoku. The announcements include the main promotional video, a new key visual, two additional cast members, and an official premiere date.
Opening Theme and Premiere Date
The main trailer previews the season’s opening theme song, “Unbroken” by MADKID. The second season is set to premiere on October 7 at 11:00 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX and BS NTV, with additional broadcast on AT-X. Crunchyroll will stream the new season.

About the Series
The first season premiered in January 2024 with a one-hour special on AT-X, running for 12 episodes. It was directed by Mirai Minato at SILVER LINK, with series scripts by Deko Akao and character designs by Saori Nakashiki. Crunchyroll streamed the series across multiple regions worldwide and also offers an English dub.
The story follows Sasaki, a weary salaryman who impulsively buys a pet bird — only to discover that his new companion is actually a powerful sage from another world. The sage grants Sasaki supernatural abilities and the power to travel between worlds. All Sasaki wants is a quiet, comfortable life, but a cast of eccentric characters keeps getting in the way.
Source Material
Kadokawa has been publishing the light novel series since January 2021, with the 13th volume released on March 25. The series claimed both the Tankōbon and Novel categories in the 2022 Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! rankings. Yen Press publishes the novels in English.
A manga adaptation by Pureji Osho, serialized on Kadokawa’s Shōnen Ace Plus platform since 2021, released its sixth compiled volume on June 26.
