The production team behind the upcoming television anime adaptation of Muchimaro‘s four-panel manga Even the Student Council Has Its Holes! (Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru!) unveiled a character promotional video, character visual, and cast announcement for the character Arisu Terui on Saturday. Shizuka Ishigami will voice the role.
The anime is set to premiere in October.

The anime is being produced at Passione under the direction of Naoyuki Tatsuwa, whose previous credits include Ōmuro-ke, Gourmet Girl Graffiti, Nisekoi, and Promise of Wizard. Ryo Imamura (ONIMAI: I’m Now Your Sister!) is handling character design, while Masahiro Yokotani — known for Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, Beelzebub, and The Devil Is a Part-Timer! — is overseeing and writing the series scripts.
Story
Mizunoe Ume joined the student council for one simple reason: to avoid repeating a grade. It seemed like a straightforward solution to his academic troubles — until he actually met his fellow council members. Each one is eccentric in her own way: one is a total airhead, another is intimidating, and one harbors a secret perverted streak. Despite all their quirks, they’re somehow undeniably cute and endearing, leaving Mizunoe with no choice but to embrace the chaos they bring.
About the Manga
Muchimaro launched the manga in Kodansha‘s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2022. The 12th compiled volume shipped on March 17. Seven Seas will release the first English volume on September 8, and the series is also available digitally in English via K MANGA.
The manga previously received an animated advertisement in July 2024 and took home the print category prize at the 9th Next Manga Awards (Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishō) in 2023.
