The upcoming summer anime Tai Arimashita. ~Ojousama wa Kakuge Nante Shinai~ has released the synopsis and advance scene cuts for Episode 1: “I’m Quitting Fighting Games”, set to premiere on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
About the Series
Based on the ongoing manga by Ejima Eri, serialized in Monthly Comic Flapper (KADOKAWA), the series follows the passionate fighting-game lives of girls at an elite all-girls school. The manga currently spans 10 volumes, and a live-action drama adaptation aired on NTT Docomo’s Lemino streaming service in 2023.
Overall Premise
Commoner Fukatsuki Aya enrolls at the prestigious Kuromi Girls’ Academy and immediately becomes captivated by Yoe Mio — revered throughout the school as “Shirayuri-sama” (White Lily). But Aya’s admiration takes an unexpected turn when she stumbles upon Mio secretly playing a fighting game alone in an empty classroom. Mio, in turn, quickly clocks Aya as a fellow fighting-game enthusiast. With gaming strictly forbidden on school grounds, the two find themselves unable to resist the urge to battle — and so begins their blazing fighting-game life.
