5th Anniversary Comments

Cast and staff shared messages to mark the milestone:

Nagai Shin (Kimizuka Kimihiko)

Five years… I’m far from the person I imagined I’d be back then, but one thing I’m grateful for is still being able to be Kimizuka Kimihiko. I want to keep going until I can say “only five years.” First things first — let’s all watch Season 2 together!

Miyashita Saki (Siesta)

Happy 5th anniversary! It feels like it flew by. I’m so grateful to have been involved with Siesta for so long — even Kimizuka might be jealous. Please keep supporting us!

Taketatsu Ayana (Natsunagi Nagisa)

Happy 5th anniversary to Tanmoshi! I can’t believe five years have passed. Season 2 is finally here this year and I’m so excited — let’s all enjoy it together!

Takao Kanon (Saikawa Yui)

Happy 5th anniversary! It’s been an honor to grow alongside these characters. I can still feel the passion of fans who have loved Tanmoshi since Season 1. I gave everything I had to Season 2, so please look forward to it!

Shirasuna Saho (Charlotte Arisaka Anderson)

Happy 5th anniversary! Charlotte was the first anime role I ever won through an audition, so she holds a very special place in my heart. I’m so happy this series is loved by so many people. Charlotte has a big role in Season 2 — please look forward to it!

Nigojuu (Original Author)

Happy 5th anime anniversary! Personally, I had only just debuted as a light novel author back then and was desperately trying to keep up with production and supervision. Five years on, I’d love to revisit Season 1 at a more leisurely pace. Looking forward to Season 2!

Umibouzu (Original Illustrator)

YEAHHHHH! Happy 5th anniversary to the Tanmoshi anime! So excited for Season 2!

Kurihara Manabu (Director)

Happy 5th anniversary! We’re hard at work on Season 2. It will reveal many truths that have never been told before, giving each character greater depth. How will Kimizuka and the others weave their story after losing the detective? Please look forward to it!

Akao Deko (Series Composition)

Happy 5th anniversary! The shock of first seeing Siesta elegantly causing chaos on an airplane is still etched in my heart. Dead, and yet so full of life — I was grinning the whole time. I’m so glad I got to work on Tanmoshi.

Ito Yosuke (Character Design)

Happy 5th anniversary. It is a great honor to have been involved as character designer on a work that continues to be loved by so many. I will keep striving to bring out the appeal of these characters.

40mP (Music Composer)

I felt the weight of being entrusted with the theme songs and score for the long-awaited Season 2, but I threw myself into it wholeheartedly. Season 2 delves deeper into each character’s past, conflicts, missions, hopes, and love. I wrote with the question in mind: “Who wants to say what to whom?” The score is primarily piano and strings, painting each scene with emotion. I hope the music reaches the hearts of Siesta, Kimizuka, and Natsunagi.

Kokoume (Opening Theme Performer)

I’m truly happy to accompany a new chapter of a work loved by so many. The opening theme honestly portrays the feelings characters couldn’t express — bittersweet yet warm. I sang it with great care so listeners can feel the world of Tanmoshi even more deeply.

Kagura Nana (Ending Theme Performer)

I’m back to sing the ending theme for Season 2! “Hakuchuumu” is an answer song to “Kodou” from Season 1, gently expressing Nagisa’s feelings. I hope everyone enjoys it alongside the anime!
