The staff behind the television anime adaptation of So What’s Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin? (Tensei Goblin dakedo Shitsumon Aru?), the manga by writer Nazuna Miki and artist Tsukasa Araki, has unveiled the series’ main promotional video, main visual, additional crew members, theme songs, and an official premiere date of October 5.

Theme Songs

The main PV previews the opening theme “Hello”, performed by previously announced artist Sou. Musical artist AHUB performs the ending theme “Chiisana Bokura” (Little Us).

Broadcast Schedule

The anime premieres on Tokyo MX on October 5 at 10:00 p.m. JST, followed by BS11 at 24:00 JST (effectively October 6 at midnight) and Sun TV at 24:30. AT-X will begin airing the series from October 7. In Japan, the anime will also stream on ABEMA and Prime Video. The first episode will stream simultaneously with its broadcast, while subsequent episodes will be available one week ahead of their air dates.

Story

Office worker Akira Yagami’s selfless personality tends to leave him worse off than everyone else. After dying while pushing a child out of the path of an oncoming vehicle, he finds himself reincarnated in a fantasy world — as a goblin. Goblins normally survive for only seven days, but Akira’s unique new abilities allow him to break that limit, setting him on the path to becoming the mightiest goblin who ever lived.

Ryūta Kawahara — known for episode-directing work on The Summer Hikaru Died, Orange, 86, and Blend S — directs the anime at studio BAKKKA. Yūichirō Momose (So I’m a Spider, So What?, Africa Salaryman) handles series scripts, Hiroyuki Saita (Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez, Revue Starlight) designs the characters, Hiroto Morishita (Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear, Wistoria: Wand and Sword) serves as sound director, and Takenoko Boy composes the score at INCS Toenter.

About the Manga

The manga has been serialized on Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump website since 2020. Volume 14 was released on March 18, with volume 15 due on September 17. Yen Press, which publishes the English edition, released volume 10 on May 26.
