Ken Elephant has announced the Tetsuwan Atom Figure Collection, a set of four capsule toy figures scheduled for release in mid-July 2026. The line-up marks the third entry in the company’s ongoing series bringing the classic manga of Tezuka Osamu to capsule toy form, following the “Pinoco Figure Collection” (April 2025) and the “Unico Figure Collection” (February 2026).
A Legend That Never Fades
Dubbed the “God of Manga,” Tezuka Osamu debuted in 1946 and went on to create approximately 700 works over his lifetime. More than 30 years after his passing, his stories continue to captivate readers of every generation — raising questions about society, human nature, and the world we live in.
Tetsuwan Atom (known internationally as Astro Boy) is among his most iconic works. The series follows Atom, a young robot boy with 100,000 horsepower and seven special abilities, on science-fiction adventures. It also holds the distinction of being Japan’s first serialised television anime and remains beloved by fans around the world.
Glossy Head, Glossy Shoes — All the Charm
The new figures faithfully recreate Atom’s endearing, lively facial expression, with particular attention paid to his signature shiny black head and shoes — a detail that gives each piece an extra dose of cuteness. The sculpts are crafted with fine detail to appeal to fans across all ages and generations.
