The production team behind the anime adaptation of The Vermillion Mask (Shuiro no Kamen), the manga by Dr.Poro and Nabana Naba, dropped the series’ first main trailer — complete with English subtitles — during Crunchyroll’s panel at Anime Expo on Friday. The reveal was accompanied by a fresh wave of voice cast announcements.

Synopsis
According to Yomiuri TV, the story centers on Peru, a young apprentice mask maker who loses control under the influence of a cursed mask, tragically slaying both his master and his comrades. Consumed by guilt, Peru embarks on a journey to destroy the legendary masks his master once crafted, encountering unexpected allies and dangerous enemies along the way. The series unfolds as a gripping tale of redemption, with both Peru’s soul and the fate of the world hanging in the balance.
