A YouTube video featuring a full-track crossfade from Nakamura Hak‘s first CD single, 「ただ美しい呪い」 (Tada Utsukushii Noroi), has been released. The single collects the three ending songs used in the TV anime 「とんがり帽子のアトリエ」 (Tongari Boushi no Atelier / Witch Hat Atelier), adapted from the original manga by Kamome Shirahama.
The video includes the songs 「ただ美しい呪い」, 「夜に浮かぶ」, and 「光り」. It uses a newly drawn illustration that Kamome Shirahama created specially after listening to Nakamura Hak’s music, giving the video appeal both musically and artistically.
Release Schedule and Online Live
The CD single 「ただ美しい呪い」 is scheduled to go on sale on June 10. On June 13 at 24:00, Nakamura Hak will hold a second online live performance, where 「光り」 will be performed for the first time along with the other ending songs from the anime.
Interview with Director Ayumu Watanabe
Comic Natalie has also published an interview with Ayumu Watanabe, director of the anime 「とんがり帽子のアトリエ」. In it, he discusses his intentions for depicting Kamome Shirahama’s visuals and world, his collaboration with the manga creator, and his view of the theme songs composed by Eve and Nakamura Hak specifically to fit the anime’s atmosphere.
