The production team behind Touken Ranbu – ICE BLADE – has officially unveiled solo visuals for the skaters and voice actors portraying the eight Touken Danshi (sword warriors) in the show. The ice spectacular is set for October 3–4, 2026 at the National Yoyogi Stadium Hall No. 1 in Tokyo.

About Touken Ranbu ONLINE

Touken Ranbu ONLINE is a sword-raising simulation game that has surpassed 15 million cumulative users. Players take on the role of a “Saniwa,” a master who awakens the spirits sleeping within famous swords and transforms them into warriors known as Touken Danshi. Players collect and train these warriors across eight weapon types — tanto, wakizashi, uchigatana, tachi, odachi, naginata, yari, and ken — forming their own squad to conquer various battlefields throughout history.

The First-Ever Touken Ranbu Ice Show

Touken Ranbu – ICE BLADE – marks the franchise’s first-ever ice show, fusing the physical artistry of Japan’s top figure skaters with live voice performances by the original game’s voice cast. Olympic silver medalist Kaori Sakamoto (Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, women’s singles) also joins the production as the original character “Spirit of Ice” (氷の精霊).

Story

The year is 2205. A faction known as the “Historical Revisionists” has begun launching attacks on the past in an attempt to alter history. The Government of Time dispatches Saniwa to various eras to stop them. Through the Saniwa’s power, the tsukumogami spirits of legendary swords — the Touken Danshi — are manifested and sent into battle to protect history.

At one particular citadel, protected by five shrines representing the five elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, water), the warriors hold a special duty: to monitor the Gisho — false scriptures that distort, rewrite, and devour true history. Then one day, a five-headed dragon called the Gozuryu suddenly attacks the citadel, destroying the shrines and scattering the elemental spirits into the false scriptures. At that moment, a Spirit of Ice awakens from deep within the citadel…

Can Mikazuki Munechika and his fellow Touken Danshi rescue the five elemental spirits from the twisted false history — the Gishi — created by the Gisho? The Touken Danshi’s newest battle, “ICE BLADE”, is about to begin.
