Uso Tantei Tomanto, the “cute × mystery” character project developed jointly by San-X and Fanworks, is receiving a brand-new merchandise collection. The lineup is themed around “Tomanto vs. Phantom Thief Paprika”, celebrating the rivalry at the heart of the series.
About Uso Tantei Tomanto
The series features a colorful cast of characters inspired by vegetables and fruits, led by the protagonist Tomanto — a somewhat anxious young detective in everyday life who springs into action when a case arises, using his ability to see through bold-faced lies. A short anime adaptation aired all 26 episodes on TRAIN TV, the in-train monitor service of JR East, from October 2025 through April 2026. The series has also been broadcasting within the ZIP! morning program on Nippon TV since March 2026.

The new collection captures the characters’ charm and the story’s world through a wide variety of items, including:

Release Information
All items in the collection are scheduled to go on sale in early October 2026 at retailers across Japan and through the San-X Net Shop online store. The latest updates can be found in the “Goods Info” section of the official San-X website.
