Kadokawa has streamed the first main promotional video and key visual for the second television anime season of The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in a Different World as an Aristocrat (Japanese title: Sekai Saikō no Ansatsusha, Isekai Kizoku ni Tensei Suru), the light novel series by Rui Tsukiyo and Reia. The video reveals additional cast members and confirms a January premiere.

Staff
The core production team returns from the first season. Masafumi Tamura (Wise Man’s Grandchild, The Misfit of Demon King Academy, Two Car) is back as director at SILVER LINK., with Katsuhiko Takayama (Two Car, Ange Vierge, The Future Diary) again overseeing series scripts, Eri Nagata (Ensemble Stars!, Blade & Soul) returning as character designer, and Kenichi Kuroda composing the score under Lantis.
About the Series
The first anime season aired in October 2021. The story follows a legendary assassin reborn in a fantasy world, where he inherits a bloodline of shadow killers. Armed with his modern knowledge and the new world’s magic and techniques, he sets out to become the most formidable assassin in history.
Tsukiyo originally began serializing the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in July 2018. Kadokawa started publishing print volumes with illustrations by Reia in February 2019. A manga adaptation by Hamao Sumeragi launched on Kadokawa’s Young Ace Up website in January 2019. Yen Press publishes both the novels and the manga in English.
