Story Synopsis
Sori is a kind, caring, and principled young girl — qualities that, unfortunately, make her a target for bullies at her middle school after she stands up for others who are being picked on. Seeking a fresh start, she transfers to a new school, only to find the same dynamics beginning to take shape.
Everything changes when a mysterious trail of letters leads Sori on a magical scavenger hunt through a hidden world lurking just beneath the surface of her new school. The letters appear to be the work of an anonymous guardian who seems determined to help her find her footing in this unfamiliar place.
But who is sending them — and why did they choose her? With each letter, secrets come to light and new bonds are formed, as Sori discovers friendship, the wonders of nature, and the good that can be found in people around her.
