Fans of Yu Yu Hakusho (幽☆遊☆白書) have a new reason to celebrate: anime merchandise retailer AMNIBUS has opened pre-orders for a brand-new goods collection themed around a “Water Gun Battle ver.” The line-up features freshly drawn illustrations of six fan-favourite characters — Urameshi Yusuke, Kuwabara Kazuma, Hiei, Kurama, Yoko Kurama, and Koenma — each posed with a water gun at the ready.
About Yu Yu Hakusho
Yu Yu Hakusho is a battle manga by Yoshihiro Togashi that ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1990 to 1994. The story follows delinquent teenager Yusuke, who dies in an accident and is resurrected as a Spirit Detective, going on to battle evil demons alongside his companions. The series became a massive hit both in Japan and worldwide.
The TV anime adaptation aired from October 1992 for a total of 112 episodes, produced by Studio Pierrot. The voice cast includes Nozomu Sasaki as Yusuke, Shigeru Chiba as Kuwabara, Megumi Ogata as Kurama, Nobuyuki Hiyama as Hiei, and Sanae Fukayuki as Botan. A live-action drama adaptation was also released on Netflix in December 2023.
