The TV anime Hitotsukai ga Nigate na Mibōjin no Yukionna-san to Noroi no Yubiwa (The Widowed Snow Woman Who Hates Socializing and the Cursed Ring) has been officially confirmed for an October 2026 broadcast premiere on the animation label AnimeFesta Original. Alongside the announcement, the production has unveiled the first key visual, the official website, the main cast, character designs, and the full staff lineup.
Story
Set in a contemporary world where humans and yōkai of all kinds coexist as a matter of course, the story follows Takahashi Satoru, a young man who inherited the management of Yayagi Heights — an apartment complex exclusively for yōkai — from his late father. One day, Satoru accidentally angers Yukino Fuyu, a widowed snow woman (yukionna) he has secretly been drawn to. Desperate to make amends, he uses a mysterious ring said to “make communication with yōkai easier,” only for the enchantment to turn Fuyu into an unexpectedly aggressive pursuer. The tale traces what lies at the end of the road for a reclusive widowed yukionna and the human youth who simply wants to be there for her — a road shaped, for better or worse, by the power of a cursed ring.
