คีย์วิชวลโปรเจกต์ Sunrise 50th Anniversary รวมตัวละครจาก 50 ผลงานของ Sunrise

Bandai Namco Filmworks has officially launched the “Sunrise 50th Anniversary” project, commemorating the 50th anniversary of Muteki Chōjin Zambot 3 — the first title released under the Sunrise brand — which falls in 2027. The project will run from 2026 through 2028.

Key Visual

A newly drawn key visual was revealed alongside the announcement, featuring characters from 50 hand-picked works spanning Sunrise’s catalogue of over 500 titles — from the studio’s debut Muteki Chōjin Zambot 3 all the way to the 2022 series Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury.

The “Mirai e no Kōro” Short Film Project

Central to the anniversary celebrations is “Mirai e no Kōro” (A Voyage Towards the Future), a series of six original 3DCG animated short films produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks in collaboration with various animation studios. All six works share the common theme of “the future.” Details on the first two shorts have been revealed.

Dice with Demon (Haseo Sugoroku)

Directed by Hidekazu Ohara (Digital Juice, Kogepan) and produced at SUNRISE Studios.

Heian-era Japan. Twilight. A rain-slicked pavilion where three noblemen drink to a chilling secret. There, Ki no Haseo confesses that he played a high-stakes game with a demon to resurrect his late wife. Is it a blessing, or a path to ruin?

Metafear

Directed by Shuhei Morita (Tokyo Ghoul, Coicent, Kakurenbo – Hide & Seek) and produced at YAMATOWORKS. Tatsuyuki Tanaka (A Farewell to Weapons, Tojin Kit) serves as character designer and visual designer.

A girl tormented by nightmares writes down her dreams and names them, hoping never to forget her fears. But one day, a nightmare she couldn’t name transforms into a monster and spreads across the world, plunging it into chaos.

Armored Trooper Votoms: Haiiro no Hexe Also Included

The previously announced Sōkō Kihei Votoms: Haiiro no Hexe (Armored Trooper Votoms: Die Graue Hexe / The Grey Witch), a new anime entry in the Armored Trooper Votoms franchise co-produced by Sunrise and Production I.G, has also been confirmed as part of the “Sunrise 50th Anniversary” project. The first of its two films opens in Japan on November 20.
