On June 21, as part of the Chayamachi Oshi Festival 2026 held in Osaka, a special mini-stage event titled Madoka-chan & Homura-chan’s Magical Time!! — tied to the film Gekijouban Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten — was held for fans in attendance.
The stage featured mascot costume appearances by Madoka-chan and Homura-chan, but the real excitement came from a surprise appearance by three characters from the currently airing series Meitantei Pretty Cure!: Cure Answer, Cure Mystic, and Cure Arcana Shadow.
A Crossover Built on a Shared Spirit
Meitantei Pretty Cure! follows a group of girls who work as detectives, driven by a desire to help those in need. The crossover was made possible by the idea that the Pretty Cure trio and Kaname Madoka’s group from Madoka☆Magica share a common bond — they are all “friends who transform and keep fighting.”
Five Girls, One Dance Floor
The highlight of the mini-stage was a joint dance performance by all five characters to 「なぜ？謎?!ANSWER」, the ending theme song of Meitantei Pretty Cure!. Although Madoka-chan and Homura-chan had no prior dance experience, their dedicated practice clearly paid off, as the pair kept perfect time with the three Pretty Cure characters — much to the delight of the crowd.
