Kadokawa announced on Wednesday that a fifth television anime season of Classroom of the Elite has been green-lit, unveiling a new promotional visual alongside the news.
The announcement came on the same day that Classroom of the Elite: Year 2 — the fourth season of the anime — broadcast its 16th and final episode. The season covered the first semester of the characters’ second year of high school.
New Cast for Season 4
Returning cast members reprised their roles from previous seasons, while the following voice actors joined as first-year students:
- Minako Satō as Tsubasa Nanase
- Hiroya Egashira as Kazuomi Hōsen
- Momoko Seto as Ichika Amasawa
- Shinnosuke Tokudome as Takuya Yagami
- Iori Saeki as Sakurako Tsubaki
- Shōgo Sakata as Riku Utsunomiya
Season 4 Staff
Noriyuki Nomata (Kujima Utaeba Ie Hororo) directed the season at studio Larche. Yasushi Shigenobu (Classroom of the Elite, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations) handled series composition alongside Kyōko Katsuya. Maki Kōno (The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior) designed the characters, and Satoki Iida served as sound director. Masaru Yokoyama and Kana Hashiguchi composed the music under Lantis.
Eir Aoi performed the opening theme “MONSTER,” while ZAQ performed the ending theme “Liar Veil.”
Series Broadcast History
Season 4 premiered on April 1 with a 90-minute special airing of episodes one through four on AT-X at 8:30 p.m. JST and on Tokyo MX at 10:30 p.m. JST. Crunchyroll streamed the season simulcast and also offers an English dub.
- Season 1: Premiered July 2017; streamed by Crunchyroll, with an English dub on Funimation.
- Season 2: Premiered July 2022 as Classroom of the Elite II on Crunchyroll.
- Season 3: Premiered January 2024, ran 13 episodes, and concluded the first-year arc on Crunchyroll.
- Season 4: Premiered April 1, covered the first semester of year 2 across 16 episodes.
With the fifth season now confirmed, fans are eagerly anticipating what comes next for the students of Kōdo Ikusei Senior High School.
