Following the 「Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ QUARTET NIGHT LIVE ENDLESS JEWELS」 events held in Hyogo and Chiba in June 2026, voice actor Suzuki Tatsuhisa took to his personal X (formerly Twitter) account to share details about the colored contact lenses he wore during the live performances — and the post quickly became a hot topic among fans.
About Uta no Prince-sama and QUARTET NIGHT
The Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji LOVE anime series is based on a popular otome game and ran for four TV anime seasons beginning in 2011, with theatrical films released in 2019 and 2022. The latest entry, 『Gekijouban Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ TABOO NIGHT XXXX』, released in May 2025, spotlights the group QUARTET NIGHT in a fully original live-animation story. The accompanying live event, QUARTET NIGHT LIVE ENDLESS JEWELS, brought together the full QUARTET NIGHT voice cast at GLION ARENA KOBE on June 13–14, 2026, and LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY on June 20–21, 2026.
Odd-Eye Contacts for Ranmaru
Suzuki voices Kurosaki Ranmaru (黒崎蘭丸), a QUARTET NIGHT member whose character design features heterochromia (odd eyes). To faithfully recreate the look on stage, Suzuki wore two different lenses from the 「Perfect Series COSMAGIA」 line: PC12 「月の城」 (Moon Castle) for one eye and PC14 「花と踊り子」 (Flower and Dancer) for the other.
In his post, Suzuki noted that these were “genuinely my own personal items” — lenses he researched and purchased himself, after obtaining permission to use them during the show. He added, “I hope this is useful to someone out there.”
Fans and Cosplayers Rejoice
The post drew an enthusiastic response. Fans flooded the comments with messages such as:
- “Thank you so much for telling us!”
- “They looked amazing and so cool on you!”
- “That’s such a stylish choice!”
Since COSMAGIA is already a well-known brand in the cosplay community, cosplayers were especially excited. Reactions included “These are going to be huge with cosplayers,” “This matches exactly what I wore when I cosplayed Ranmaru — I literally pumped my fist,” and “Wait, we can match now?! Are you serious?!”
No Prescription — Fans Are Envious
Another detail that caught fans off guard: the lenses Suzuki used are non-prescription (plano), meaning he has naturally good enough vision to wear them without correction. Fans reacted with a mix of surprise and envy: “Hold on — Tatsuhisa-san, you have perfect vision!?”, “His eyesight is too good, I’m jealous,” and “Must be nice having great eyes.”
The care Suzuki put into sourcing the contacts himself — and his generosity in sharing the information publicly — resonated deeply with fans, with many commenting, “He really understands what we want to know,” and “He’s too kind for telling us this.”
